"Eat You Up" – best song at "Latvian Music Recording Awards 2009"

The group "Instrumenti" (Instruments) have won the Latvian Music Recording Awards 2009 "Best Song" award with "Apest tevi" (Eat You Up), informs LETA.

 

"Instrumenti" also won the "Best Debut" award for their album "Pandemiya".

 

Two awards were won by the group "Sattelites LV". Their album "Vadu" was recognized as "Best Rock Album", while the video for the song "Pirmais" (The First) won in the category "Best Video Clip".

 

The category "Best Pop Album" was won by the group "Otra puse" (Other Half) for their album "Nakts vai rits" (Night or Morning). The song "Nakts vai Rits" also received the award for "Best Radio Hit".

 

"Best Latvian Hip-Hop Album" was won by Gacho for his album "Gatis Irbe".

 

The category "Best Dance Music Album" was won by the album "Double B Tonality" by "N'works".

 

"Best Country Music Album" was "Viss vel bus" (It will still be) from the group "Dakota".

 

The group "Tribes of the City" won the category "Best Alternative Music Album" with their album "Recipe of the Golden Dream".

 

"Best Classical Music Album" was won by "Skanu labirints" (Sound Labyrinth) by Ieva Parsa and her instrumental chamber ensemble.

 

This year's "Lifetime Achievement Award" was given to jazz musician, pianist, arranger, orchestra conductor and radio voice Ivars Mazurs.
