The scandalous musician Marilyn Manson will perform a concert in Riga on November 15, 2009, the concert agency FBI informed LETA.

It will be the first time that the American rock musician and his band will perform in Latvia; the show is promised to be grand and provocative.

Manson and his eponymous band will arrive in Latvia within the tour promoting their latest album "The High End of Low"; the concert in Riga will be the groups' only act in the Baltic States this year.

Two years ago Manson performed in Tallinn; the concert attracted massive massive interest from the public and many musician's fans from Latvia went to see his performance in the Estonian capital.

Manson's songs are as shocking as his visual appearance and they have left a significant mark in the history of rock music. Some of the musician's biggest hits are songs "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)", "The Beautiful People", "The Dope Show", "Rock Is Dead", "Disposable Teens", "The Fight Song", "Tainted Love", "Personal Jesus", "Heart-Shaped Glasses (When the Heart Guides the Hand)".

Marilyn Manson founded his band in 1989; the group has been nominated for the prestigious "Grammy" award twice and has received numerous "Billboard", "NME" and "MTV" prizes.
