On May 20 at ''Arena Riga'', American nu-metal rock group ''Limp Bizkit'' performed its first concert in eight years after recently reuniting, LETA was informed by concert agency Positivus Music director Girts Majors.

The concert in Riga was the opening concert of the group's world tour.

The group intends to perform in many of this summer's main music festivals all over the world.

As reported, two years ago, ''Limp Bizkit'' member dj Lethal, who was born in Riga, performed at the Positivus festival in Latvia. This time, dj Lethal will return to the city he was born in and perform together with the rest of the original band – singer Fred Durst, guitarist Wes Borland, bassist Sam Rivers and drummer John Otto.

Durst and Borland have been able to get over their previous disagreements and return with a world concert tour to promote their upcoming album.

''Limp Bizkit'' was started in 1995 in Florida by Durst, Borland, Rivers and Otto. A bit later on, Latvian emigrant Leors Dimants – dj Lethal, also joined the group.

By uniting rock and hip-hop, ''Limp Bizkit'' became nu-metal pioneers, and in 2000, released a very successful album called "Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water".
