Opera Music Festival to take place in Sigulda in summer 2009

Print versionIn summer 2009, Sigulda will once again host the Opera Music Festival, as LETA learned from the Sigulda City Council's head of Public Relations Department Diana Kondratenko.
As Kondratenko informed, it is currently planned that the festival would take place at the Sigulda Castle ruin's open-air stage in July.
Opera Music Festival was first organized in Sigulda in 1993 and since has become an integral part of culture life of Latvia. Sigulda Opera Music Festival has previously gather Latvian music luminaries – Inese Galante, Ingus Petersons, Egils Silins, Sonora Vaice, Inga Kalna, Miervaldis Jencs, as well as opera stars from abroad, such as Katia Angeloni, Sissel Kirkebo, Michela Samira, Michael Dean, Alfredo Daza and many others.
