Also participating in the tournament will be the Estonian and Lithuanian national teams. The tournament, which will run July 24 through 26, will mark the 100th anniversary of Estonian basketball.

"We have accepted our neighbor's invitation, even though it is currently impossible to say which players will be able to suit up for the national team. There still are many unknowns about the future, but if the tournament does take place, this will be a great experience for the experienced as well as new players," said the national team's head coach Roberts Stelmahers.

The Latvian national team resumed practicing last week. "The main goal right now is to help the players prepare for the next season. We will use the opportunity to play, but our roster will be clear only shortly before the tournament," revealed Stelmahers.

Last week, twelve players participated in the national team's practices: Janis Berzins, Kaspars Berzins, Janis Blums, Artjoms Butjankovs, Kristaps Dargais, Rolands Freimanis, Mertins Laksa, Toms Leimanis, Davis Rozitis, Arturs Strautins, Aigars Skele and Janis Timma. This week, the national team's practices were joined by Rihards Lomazs, Edgars Lasenbergs, Edmunds Elksnis, Marcis Steinbergs and Kriss Helmanis.
