The Estonian Broadcasting Museum will give up the idea of making a wax figure, after a relevant request from his sister Karin Bachmann, writes EPL Online/LETA.

The museum made preparations for commissioning a wax figure of Urmas Ott, but on Thursday it received a letter from the sister of the television journalist who passed away recently.

In her letter Bachmann requested – “We ask to stop all ideas and actions for making a wax figure of Urmas Ott, as it is entirely contrary to the last will of Urmas Ott himself.”

The museum decided to agree with the request. It had organised a collection of donations where up to now, 33 individuals had made donations. A total of 20,667 kroons had been received and the museum will pay the money back to the donors.
