Latvia women's basketball club TTT Riga lost to the home team, Kosice Good Angels (11:14, 10:13, 9:24, 14:16) in the final match of the Eastern European Women's Basketball League on Sunday, writes LETA.

Last year, TTT Riga placed first in the tournament.

Aishah Sutherland was the highest scorer for TTT Riga with eight points and seven rebounds, Gunta Basko-Melbarde had seven points, while Ieva Krastina and Giedre Paugaite scored six points each. On the other hand, Teja Oblak was the highest scorer for the Good Angels with fifteen points and Barbora Balintova added fourteen points.

In the third-place match, Moscow Dynamo beat Poland's Gdynia 88:69 (21:16, 21:13, 18:18, 28:22).

During the regular season, TTT Riga won seven games and lost one.

In total, twelve clubs from nine countries participated in the Eastern European Women's Basketball League this year.

In the league's inaugural season, TTT Riga placed first, beating Gdynia in the final match, while Atana Tigers finished in third place.
