After her excellent performance at last week's U.S. Open Grand
Slam tennis tournament, Latvia's Anastasija
Sevastova has moved up to her best ever ranking - 32nd, reports LETA.
Sevastova earned 430 WTA ranking points for advancing to the quarterfinals
of the U.S. Open, which allowed her to move up in the WTA rankings.
Meanwhile, Latvia's second-best ranked tennis
player Alona Ostapenko has dropped
four spots in the latest ranking to 40th place.
