14 foreign teams sign up for Admiral Pitka Recon Challenge in Estonia

Fourteen teams from nine foreign countries have to date signed up for Admiral Pitka Recon Challenge in Estonia, one of the toughest military endurance competitions in the world, informs LETA/BNS.
Registered for the competition are two teams from Poland, Denmark, Finland, the United States and Britain each, and one team from Spain, Sweden, Latvia and Lithuania each, spokespeople for the volunteer corps Kaitseliit (Defense League) said. One U.S. team is formed on the basis of units stationed in Estonia and the other represents the Maryland National Guard.
At the request of Kaitseliit units the deadline of registration for the competition was extended until June 22. Up to 30 teams of four can sign up for the event.
This year's Admiral Pitka Recon Challenge will be held in the western Rapla County on Aug. 2-6.
