Briedis knocks out Durodola and will box in world cruiser weight title fight

Latvia's Mairis Briedis (20-0, 17 KO) knocked out Nigeria's Olanrewaju Durodola (22-3, 20 KO) in the ninth round in last night's WBC eliminator at Arena Riga, informs LETA.
With the win, Briedis will now box in the WBC's world cruiserweight title fight.
The WBC cruiserweight title is currently vacant, and will be decided on May 29 at Goodison Park Stadium in Liverpool, England, when Tony Bellew (26-2-1, 16 KO) faces Junior Makabu (19-1, 18 KO). The winner of that fight will then be obligated to face Briedis.
