Latvia's ''Brainstorm'' to perform at the Sochi Olympics

One of Latvia's most popular pop/rock bands ''Brainstorm'' (Prata Vetra) will perform at the Sochi Olympics.
As LETA was informed by Latvian Olympic Committee press secretary Martins Malmeisters, the band is expected to perform on February 13 on the Olympic Village's main-stage.
The initiative to invite the band has not come from the Latvian side but by the organizers of the Olympics, as ''Brainstorm'' is a well-known band in Russia.
The Olympic Village will also have a ''Latvian house'', where Latvian entrepreneurs, artists and athletes will be able to present themselves and speak with the international audience by organizing various events and concerts. Fans will also be able to meet up with athletes at the ''Latvian house''.
The 2014 Winter Olympics will take place in Russia's Sochi from February 7 to 23.
