Water temperature in Latvian rivers climbs to 23 degrees Celsius

Water temperature in Latvian rivers has reached 23 degrees Celsius, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Center, reported LETA.
Water temps in Vidzeme rivers currently range from 19 to 20 degrees Celsius, Latgale rivers - 19 to 23 degrees Celsius, Zemgale and Kurzeme rivers - 21 to 23 degrees Celsius.
The temperature of the Baltic Sea at Liepaja (southwestern Latvia) is at 18 degrees Celsius, at Ventspils (northwestern Latvia) - 16 degrees Celsius. Gulf of Riga temps are between 18 and 20 degrees Celsius.
Today, air temperatures will range from 27 to 32 degrees Celsius in most of Latvia. The temperature in Riga will rise to 27 to 30 degrees Celsius.
Hot weather is also in the forecast for tomorrow, when temps will climb to 34 degrees Celsius in some locations.
