The eighth edition of the „Fontaine Festival” will take place in Liepaja during 9th, 10th and 11th of August, offering various local and international music acts from over eleven countries, spread across five stages, informs LETA.

„Fontaine Festival” kicks off on Friday, 9th of August, offering more than 40 live music and DJ performances. The festival will end on the night of August 11th, having offered a full three days and nights of music from Latvia, Estonia, Ukraine, Russia, Israel, Georgia, Hungary, USA, Germany, Sweden, Poland and Finland.

„Fontaine Festival” takes place in and around various venues – „Fontaine Palace”, „Fire Bar”, „Acropolis”, „Prison Bar” and an outdoor stage in the „Gypsy Camp”, located in the backyard of „Fontaine Royal” hotel. Each venue has a musical style of its own, with the festival line-up ranging from rock and blues to ska, folk and Balkan music. The already confirmed bands include „Insane” from Hungary, „To Leave a Trace” from Ukraine, „Tomas” and „Otava Ø” from Russia, „Bonafide” from Israel, „Palace on wheels” and „Jack’s Residence” from Sweden, „Tax” from Finland, „Leaf” from Germany, „Open Blues” from Poland, guitar ace Eddie Angel from UK, bluesman Howard Fishman from USA and local bands „Dust Devil Drive”, „Sanctimony”, „Relicseed”, „Jumprava”, „Livi”, „Rebel Riot”, „Mirta & The Hot Acoustics”, „Sound Religion”, „The Factor”, „The Velvet Supernova” as well as the festival’s chief and founder, Louie Fontaine with his band „The Starlight Searchers”.
