Jackie Chan's "CZ12", with several scenes shot in Jelgava, to premiere in Latvia soon

Hong Kong film star Jackie Chan's latest movie "CZ12", part of which was shot in Jelgava in 2012, will make its Latvian premiere at the "Citadele" Movie Theater next week, March 14, informs LETA.
The premiere will encompass several events, including a meeting with Jelgava vertical wind tunnel instructors Kaspars Rums, Guntis Sefers and Arturs Karsenieks who taught Chan how to fly and are also featured in several sequences in the film.
Chan arrived in Jelgava in the spring of 2012 to film several scenes for his new film at the Jelgava vertical wind tunnel. The work continued for three weeks, and Chan was very pleased with the results.
Ivars Beitans, CEO at Aerodium, the company that runs the wind tunnel, said that Chan's visit to Latvia was a result of Aerodium's participation in the "World Expo 2010" in Shanghai. Aerodium members first met with Chan during the fair, when he visited Latvia's stand at "World Expo" and said he might film several scenes for his new film in Latvia.
During Chan's stint in Jelgava, large crowds of Latvians visited the wind tunnel to see the star, and so did Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis (Unity), who presented Chan with a souvenir – a Lacplesis hat painted in Latvian flag colors.
