Olerex entering CNG market in Estonia

BC, Tallinn, 02.11.2020.Print version
Estonian seller of motor fuels Olerex is set to open its first compressed natural gas (CNG) station on Peterburi Road in Tallinn in December 2020, informs LETA/BNS.

Over the course of November, Olerex will install the necessary equipment at the Peterburi Road filling station and the green gas refueling facility will be opened in December. CNG or compressed gas is intended for refueling for both cars and trucks of both private and business customers, Olerex said.

"CNG is essentially a favorable alternative to liquid fuels. Olerex will sell biomethane 100 percent from renewable sources," Anton Safrostin, Olerex's fuel purchasing and logistics manager, said in a press release.

In addition to the Tallinn station, Olerex plans to open a CNG station in Tartu next year and, if customers are interested, to expand CNG sales across Estonia.

Olerex's sales network includes 98 full-service stations and express stations across Estonia. Founded in 1994, the company is based on 100% Estonian capital and employs approximately 800 people.
