Comodule, developer and manufacturer of electronic communications hardware for use in electric scooters, said in a press release on Wednesday that the new scooter has been developed and manufactured with private use in mind and has a higher maximum speed, 25 kmh, than the scooters available in the rental service.
They also have a longer range of up to 40 kilometers.
A ride with the scooter is started and ended via an online app that is linked to the owner' telephone number. The scooter features replacable batteries.
Just like the Tuul scooters used in the scooter sharing service, the scooter available for sale features protection against vandalism and its location can be tracked via the app. The scooter developed for sale is built on a frame identical to that of the vehicle used in the scooter sharing service, but painted in black color, with a grey and black foot pad.
Comodule is a global company headquartered in Tallinn, with a business development office in Berlin.
