In addition to already announced flights, airBaltic will be able to resume flights to Amsterdam from May 1 and to Hamburg from June 1.
The Riga-Vienna route will reopen on June 8 and flights to Dusseldorf will resume from June 9.
As reported, from next Monday, May 25, airBaltic restarts flights from Riga to Helsinki and Munich, and from June 1 to Berlin, the airline informed LETA.
Since May 18, airBaltic operates daily flights to and from Frankfurt and Oslo. The airline also flies to Tallinn and Vilnius.
Martin Gauss, CEO of airBaltic said that airBaltic now returns with a clear target to maintain its position in the region.
"By focusing on an all-Airbus A220-300 fleet, we are well positioned for the restart,” he said.
“The safety and health of our passengers, our employees and the society stand above all. All of our passengers are now provided with a face mask and disinfectant wipes. Our new flight operations follow the recommendations issued by authorities,” Gauss added.
Passengers are advised to check the travel regulations and airport restrictions on the official websites or with local embassies before travelling. Regulations are changing rapidly and vary per country, therefore always make sure you have the latest information to have a smooth journey.
Full schedule and tickets for the flights will be available soon on the airBaltic website. In addition, a temporary offer for all new airBaltic reservations made by May 31, 2020 is available, offering passengers to rebook them free of charge to a new date. Only one date change is permitted.
