BC, Tallinn, 22.04.2020.Print version
Stockmann on Wednesday opened its first standing e-store for Estonia and Latvia that features an offering of approximately 6,000 products in the fashion and household goods segments, reported LETA/BNS.

The goods are delivered directly form the central warehouse in Finland and will reach the customer in three to seven days, spokespeople for Stockmann said. The goods will be distributed via the parcel networks of Omniva and Itella. Distribution via parcel stations of Omniva is free of charge.

Due to the current workload of the delivery partners, the goods reaching customers may take somewhat longer, the retailer said.

"At a time when the department store is mostly closed, e-commerce plays a significant role in offering the full range of service to our customers. While Stockmann did plan to open an e-store, under current conditions of the emergency situation we launched it in just three weeks," Andres Alango, financial and development manager of Stockmann in Estonia, said in a press release.

The retailer pointed out that the e-commerce store is a store of the Finnish department store for clients in Estonia and Latvia that was launched within a matter of days. Due to this, the language  of the e-store currently is English. Terms and conditions and customer support are available in the local languages.

Stockmann AS is the Estonian operation of the Finnish retail group of the same name, which operates a department store in central Tallinn. The Stockmann chain also has five department stores in Finland and one in Riga.
