Drug wholesalers raise turnover in Latvia 7.19% in January

In January 2020, drug wholesalers sold EUR 37.28 million worth (including VAT) of medicines in Latvia, which is an increase of 7.19% against the same period a year ago and a 2.98 percent rise against December 2019, according to information from the State Agency of Medicines.
This past January, the drug wholesalers sold 4.38 mln packages of medicines in Latvia, including 3.89 mln packages sold to general drug stores for EUR 37.28 mln.
A total of 507 different drugs listed in the Drug Register of Latvia, including 245 on the list of government-funded drugs, were sold outside Latvia for EUR 13.56 mln, up 10.46% from December.
In January 2020, data were provided by 86 licensed drug wholesalers operating in Latvia.
