The tenders cover design and contract work related to the reconstruction of the 330kV power transmision lines Klaipeda-Gobine and Jurbarkas-Bitenai.
During the tender, Litgrid will procure technical project preparation and contacted services.
The reconstruction of these lines is necessary to from new Darbenai-Bitenai and Kruonis PSP lines. They will bolster the transmission network in Western Europe and ensure reliable operation following the laying of the undersea cable Harmony Link, connecting Lithuanian to Poland, and disconnection from the Kaliningrad power transmission system.
Synchronization is the key energy security project for the Baltic states, worth up to 1.65 bn euros. The project is scheduled to be completed by 2025.
