Kallas's cabinet chief starts working as EU Commission aviation and transport relations director

Print versionMargus Rahuoja, Head of Cabinet for former European Commission Vice-President Siim Kallas, started working this week as Director of Aviation and International Transport Affairs in the Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport, LETA/Public Broadcasting reports.

Rahuoja is one of five Estonian top officials in the European Commission. Also former Head of Cabinet of Siim Kallas, Henrik Hololei is a Deputy Secretary-General of the Commission.
Juhan Lepassaar just started working as European Commission Vice-President Andrus Ansip's cabinet chief.
Signe Ratso is Director of Trade Directorate. Maive Rute works as Resource Director of the Directorate-General for Research and Innovation.
Rahuoja said 89 people work under his command starting this week. "But there is also the European Aviation Safety Agency, with about 600 people, which creates special technical rules for example for certifying Airbus or other aircraft for their safe flight."
