Latvia: Turkey's freight carriers interested in "Zubr" container train advantages

Today, a seminar on "Zubr" advantages will be opened by Transport Ministry State Secretary Kaspars Ozolins in Turkey. The event will be organized in cooperation with the joint-stock railroad company Latvijas Dzelzcels and the Turkish Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications Ministry and feature presentations by LDz Cargo Logistika and Turkish Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications Ministry representatives.
Latvia's transport infrastructure advantages, particularly port, cargo transit and logistics services, will also be discussed during the event.
The seminar will be organized alongside the international transport, transit and logistics exhibition "Logitrans 2013", the largest annual event in Turkey's transport sector, which will be held in Istanbul November 21 through 23.
Latvia will be represented by the Transport Ministry, Ventspils and Riga Freeports, the Liepaja Special Economic Zone Authority, Latvijas Dzelzcels, Latvian transport and logistics companies.
