Rigas satiksme posts LVL 5.5 mln in losses in 2012

Compared to 2011, the company's losses increased by more than LVL 2 million, turnover – by around LVL 5 million.
According to Rigas satiksme management report, the company carried 141.4 million passengers in 2012, including 44.6 million or 31.5% who paid the full price and 51.75 million or 36.6% who were transported free of charge.
Rigas satiksme passenger turnover increased 0.6%, affected by free public transportation for schoolchildren from grades 5-12.
32.3% of the company's turnover came from public transportation services, 4.1% – parking services, 63.6% – state and municipal subsidies.
Compared to 2011, the company's operational costs rose by LVL 3.5 million or 3.9% in 2012.
The average salary at Rigas satiksme was LVL 550, the company's assets totaled LVL 231.3 million.
Rigas satiksme liabilities increased by LVL 17.3 million or 13.6%.
