Estonian Air carried 275,258 passengers in H1

Print versionA total of 275,258 passengers flew with Estonian Air during the first six months of the year 2013, writes Äripäev.ee/LETA. 271,887 of them flew on the airline’s regular route flights.

In June, the number of passengers was 54,297, of whom 53,842 flew on regular flights.
This is 3% more than during the previous month. The flight occupancy rate in June was 77.1%, which is by seven percentage points higher than in May.
According to the restructuring plan, the Estonian national carrier is planning to transport nearly 600,000 passengers this year. “In comparison with the previous two years, we offer fewer seats and return flights and hence the number of passengers is also smaller,” stated Ilona Eskelinen, the Public Relations Manager at Estonian Air. “On the basis of six-month results, the total number of passengers is 4% smaller than planned, but revenue per passenger is higher than planned,” she added.
