Hansabuss closes Tallinn-Riga line

Print versionEstonian bus company Hansabuss decided to close the Tallinn-Riga-Tallinn line it had operated since 2007, LETA/Postimees Online reports.

The company's CEO Sergei Vahnitski said that the owners of the Hansa Group made the strategic decision between two options – to invest in a new long-distance route or in other segments.
"Continuing with just one long-distance route is not justified businesswise," he said.
The trips take place according to schedule till May 31. Ticket fees will be returned to passengers who have bought tickets for the period starting June 1.
In six years since March 1, 2007, Hansabuss serviced over 105,000 passengers.
