Swedbank: car leasing in Estonia grew by 30% in 2012

Print versionSwesdbank's data indicate that private individuals acquiring cars with leasing grew by 30% in Estonia in 2012, while the growth was bigger regarding used cars, LETA/Postimees Online reports.

Swedbank's car leasing department head Tarmo Ulla said that last year's results were good for the whole sector. "The private client has started to act in an even more rational way than in earlier years – nearly 60% of leasing clients have decided for a used car. Generally it is a vehicle that is 2-5 years old," said Ulla.
Ulla said that the share of SUV's has grown in the past two years and last year, nearly 20% of all car buyers preferred SUVs.
