Eesti Raudtee new labour agreement brings a wage increase

The state-owned AS Eesti Raudtee (Estonian Railways) signed yesterday a collective labour agreement with the trade union of railway workers, which brings a wage increase to employees, LETA/Äripäev.ee reports.

For employees, the wage increase agreement is the most important as it provides a bigger increase to employees that have smaller wages, the railways company said. Also, the agreement settles the issues of work and resting time, calculating work-years, social guarantees and other issues. The agreement is in force till the end of 2014.
Eesti Raudtee manager Ahti Asmann said that the negotiations process was smooth and constructive.
In September last year, AS Eesti Raudtee was separated into Eesti Raudtee that manages the railways infrastructure and EVR Cargo that manages cargo transport.
