Kaido Simmerman begins working as chief engineer at Latvian Railroad

Print versionKaido Simmerman, the former CEO of Estonian railroad company Eesti Raudtee, has begun to work as the chief engineer at Latvian railroad company Latvijas Dzelzcels (Latvian Railroad), reports LETA/Nozare.lv with reference to the newspaper "Dienas Bizness".

Latvijas Dzelzcels President Ugis Magonis told the newspaper that the position of Latvijas Dzelzcels chief engineer was established just recently.
The representative of the company's shareholder, Transport Ministry State Secretary Anrijs Matiss, admitted not knowing about the changes.
The portal pietiek.com reports that transport minister's adviser Kaspars Ozolins will be appointed to Latvijas Dzelzcels board, and former transport minister Kaspars Gerhards – to the board of LDz Cargo, a subsidiary of Latvijas Dzelzcels.
Matiss did not rule out such changes.
Matiss is the one who decides on appointing or removing Latvijas Dzelzcels board members. Latvijas Dzelzcels management makes decisions on LDz Cargo.
