Riga social workers deal with domestic violence the most

In families with children, social workers most often came in contact with difficulties in raising them, causing friction and conflict, resulting in truancy, neglect, divorce, broken homes, illness, violence. Social workers also were called on in addiction cases – to alcohol, drugs and gambling, writes LETA.
The top problem in households with adults is violence, stemming from stress/conflict situations, a breakdown in interpersonal communication, lack of social mores, joblessness, use of addictive substances.
Underage children were also often dealt with after suffering physically at the hands of an adult.
