Tallink's passenger number falls by 3.5% in January

In January 2012, AS Tallink Grupp transported 644,658 passengers which is a 3.5% decrease compared to January 2011, the company told the Tallinn bourse.

The number of passenger vehicles increased by 0.6% to 70,376 and trucks and trailers increased by 20% to 24,816 units in same comparison, writes LETA/ELTA.
The number of passengers on the Finland-Sweden route fell by 9%; on the Estonia-Finland routes it fell by 0.4%, on the Estonia-Sweden route it fell by 6.5%. The number of passengers on the Latvia-Sweden route grew by 6.8%.
In January 2012 the cruise ferry M/S Victoria I did not operate for 8 days because of scheduled maintenance, the vessel was not replaced during that time.
