"Finnish experience was one of the important factors. Their migration wasn’t positive enough, the failures interrupted customer service," CEO of Sampo, Aivar Rehe, said.
However, the financial point of view became determinate. Expenses and work has to be done in the same volume not depending on the size of the bank, and perhaps it was evaluated that the investments and profitability weren't equal, Rehe told Aripaev.ee.
The complete changeover to the Danske Bank system in Baltic countries was planned to be carried out this autumn. 38 different task groups from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Denmark were included.
Estonia so far invested in the project 2 million euro, and by now Sampo joined the Danske IT system and telephone network.
We are in joint system but we cannot use joint services and products, Rehe explained, affirming that there will be no complete changeover to Danske platform.
Helsingin Sanomat wrote in August that Sampo Bank has lost over 30,000 clients in Finland due to information system problems. The problems were caused by the changeover to the Danske platform.
