"Taking into account the information learned from the media on the financial problem and the resulting possibility that the enterprise may become insolvent, we decided to temporarily halt selling the airline's tickets in order to avoid possible damages to our customers," said Audrius Ramanauskas, director of Interneto Partneris, the enterprise that operates the portal.

In his comment, Ramanauskas referred to the words of the minister of economic affairs of Latvia who had stated that in the first five months of this year, airBaltic has earned 18 million lats or nearly 26 million euros of loss. Although the airline later refuted these claims, it has been unable to present facts that would prove its financial stability, writes LETA.
