Tallink sells its oldest ship

Print versionVana Tallinn Line Ltd., a subsidiary of AS Tallink Grupp and Allferries SA, have concluded a three year hire-purchase charterparty for MS Vana Tallinn.

The vessel will be delivered to Allferries SA in June 2011 for their operations in the Mediterranean Sea. The title of the vessel will be handed over at the end of the charter period after all contractual payments are made, informs LETA.
Parties have agreed not to disclose the transaction price. The profit and cash flow from the transaction are not significant to the consolidated results of AS Tallink Grupp.
The last time Vana Tallinn sailed on a regular route was in 2008 at the Riga-Stockholm route. Vana Tallinn was built in 1974 and arrived in Estonia in 1990 to service the Tallinn-Stockholm route.
