Print versionThe Koidula railway border station, the state’s “construction object of the century” was opened for railway traffic in the Valga-Petshory direction, LETA/Äripäev.ee reports.

The first train travelling on the new Tartu-Petchory railway main line should arrive at the station in the evening of May 26.
Koidula project director Urmas Leinfeld said that a very important week has started at the object as on May 26 the South East Estonian railway triangle will be connected and the Koidula border station will be linked to the Tartu direction.
The development area of the Koidula railway border station in Põlva county is nearly 100 hectares. Its costs is nearly 70 mln euros an it will be completed in July.
