The company said that the interest towards the line was too small to justify the cost.
"So far only a few tens of people had purchased the trip and they will either be refunded or taken to Saaremaa by a mainland ferry and bus," said Rein Ojasaar from Linda Line.
As reported, Linda Line planned to open a shipping route between Helsinki and the Estonian Kuivastu port from May 25. The company intended to service mainly Finnish tourists who wish to spend a week in the Saaremaa island spas.
Linda Line's ship Merlin, that is ready to accommodate 104 passengers, was expected to sail on the route once a week until the end of June.
