A study carried out at the initiative of Doranova ascertained that the dumpster contained nearly 6 times more gas supplies than initially thought.
Tartu city government intends to start using five city transport buses that use biogas in the first half of 2011. The study indicated that the dumpster would enable to produce 533 m3 of bio-gas an hour. These resources’ are sufficient to supply more than 20 buses a year with biogas.
The work to close the dumpster costs nearly 6.5 million EUR.
