airBaltic makes advance payment for Riga airport

Print versionThe Latvian national airline airBaltic made the demanded advance payment for the Riga International Airport's services today, the portal Nozare.lv was informed by the airport.

Airport Press Secretary Martins Langrats explained that the bill has been paid, and that the airport will continue to conduct services for the airline via this method only. The payment was made for a seven day period, writes LETA.
As reported, the demand for pre-payment was made because airBaltic has refused the settlement offered by the airport.
airBaltic was instructed to make the advance payment by 12 noon today, with the airport threatening to cancel all services for the airline as of 4 p.m. should it fail to do so.
