Delegation from China Company Beijing Automotive Industry Holding Co. Ltd. (BAIC) arrived to Lithuania for three day visit from 24t to 26th of August 2009.

The quests visited Klaipeda State Seaport Authority (J. Janonio24) on the 25th of August 2009. The director general of Klaipeda State Seaport Authority Eugenijus Gentvilas received the delegation and presented Klaipeda Seaport activity, economical port rates, port development projects on execution, port possibilities and capacities. Cooperation possibilities and relevant possible investment possibilities in Lithuania were discussed either.

Beijing Automotive Industry Holding Co. Ltd. ( BAIC) is a State owned company with the key activity sphere – manufacturing of automobiles, vehicles and pathfinders. The company together with its foreign partners produces such well known worldwide automobiles as Mercedes-Benz, Chrysler, Hyundai and Chinese automobiles Beijing and Foton. Nearly 40 000 employees work in the companies of this holding. The activity of the holding includes representation of other Chinese automobile manufacturers and selling of their production in foreign countries (the company Beijing Automotive Industry Imp. & Exp. Corp).

Beijing Automotive Industry Holding Co. Ltd. is planning to establish them in European market – they are interested in possibility to found automobile final assembly company and to establish distribution centre of Chinese automobiles in Europe.
