SAS has not decided yet on the sale of real estate of Estonian Air

Juhan Tere, BC, Tallinn, 07.08.2009.Print version
Olev Schults, the chairperson of Estonian Air supervisory board, announced that SAS representatives of the supervisory board had not taken part in the voting regarding the sale of Estonian Air property, LETA reported, referring to Logistikauudised.net.

Schults said that the claim in Eesti Päevaleht article headline yesterday (the headline said: Does SAS remove assets from Estonian Air?) is a lie and a corporate vulgarity.

"Estonian Air sells its real estate on the market and supervisory board decided happening of the transaction and giving mandate to the management to make that contract. SAS representatives did not vote in the supervisory board," Schults noted.

He added that one of three SAS representatives was participating in that meeting, but not in voting.

Schults said that Estonian Air must bring off independently as a company which is competing on the open market; therefore, it's normal and usual that the company decreases its obligations in difficult time.
