"The stops at Maerihamn were cancelled during the night, but this is customary when it comes to storms," told Katri Link, head of communications at Tallink.
In addition, the ferry Isabelle servicing the Riga-Stockholm route is delayed by approximately four hours. According to Link, there have been no other disturbances in Tallink's schedule.
The strong winds also halted ferry traffic between the island of Hiiumaa and mainland Estonia early on Wednesday morning. There are also disturbances in the air traffic between Tallinn and Kardla, largest town on the island of Hiiumaa.
