"The tender has just been announced, therefore, and we need to carefully go through the documents. Only then I will be able to say how RVR could participate, as we must first find out the requirements and payment relations," said Kamaruts.
Asked whether RVR could submit an individual offer or participate in partnership with another international producer, Kamaruts said that this will depend on the tender's guidelines.
"For example, if there is a requirement that the bidder must have a record of, say, about 100 trains over the last year, then it is clear that RVR will be unable to qualify, and we shall seek a cooperation partner. However, RVR is also ready to produce trains on its own," said Kamaruts.
As reported, Pasazieru vilciens has announced a tender for the procurement of suburban electric trains and equipment for their maintenance, according to information on the Procurement Monitoring Bureau's website.
According to the announcement, Pasazieru vilciens is planning to buy suburban passenger electric trains, equipment for their maintenance, and spare parts, and the bidders are also to organize personnel training and supply documents necessary for train maintenance.
