Hotels at Dzukija region received 4 times more visitors than seaside resort Palanga. Having counted so-called the pillow tax Druskininkai municipality announced that in January, February, March and in April more than 50,000 visitors stayed each month in the resort.
Politicians of Palanga town also wanted to increase the pillow tax up to LTL 2 (EUR 0.57) but eventually they decided not to change anything.
