The purpose of the rating is to list the potential of new exciting travelling experience in the countries of Eastern Europe, writes LETA.

The "Hanza Hotel" is an elegant city hotel in the center of Riga, as authors of the review state.

"This former tenement building was originally built in 1901, and nowadays accommodates 80 individual rooms and suites. The hotel's restaurant maintains the charm of an earlier era: sprawled across the massive stone walls are ancient maps recalling a time when Riga was still part of the Hanseatic League," the reference reveals.

"L'Eremitage" located in Tallinn Old Town is ranking second. Modern building elements – copper, glass, and steel form the essential design of the building, as the article writes, specifying that: "This three-star hotel and its natural surroundings are a perfect departure point for exploring the city: Tallinn's Parliament Building is only a few minutes away on foot."

The third on the top 10 most attractive East European hotels is "Tilto" located close to the busy Gedimino Boulevard in Vilnius, Lithuania.

As it is described by the compilers of the review: "'Hotel Tilto' combines modern furniture and rustic elements, such as brick walls, to create a particularly warm and inviting atmosphere".

The leaders of the rating are followed by "Hotel Venezia" from Bucharest, Romania, "Hotel Vega" in Sofia, Bulgaria, "5th Corner Hotel" in Saint Petersburg, Russia, "Hotel Bristol" located in Budapest, Hungary, "Falkensteiner Hotel Bratislava" of Bratislava, Slovakia, "Hotel Haffner" built in Sopot, Poland, and "Hotel Mons" in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

The "Trivago" online service compares the hotel rates of 53 booking sites for 400,000 hotels worldwide. In addition, "Trivago" has integrated over 15 million hotel reviews and shows the overall rating for each hotel. The site does not just compare the prices of online hotel booking sites, but also the rates.
