Novatours, the leading tour operator in Estonia, generated 190 million kroons of audited revenue in 2009, writes Äripäev.ee/LETA. The enterprise earned a net profit of nearly three million kroons in 2009.

During the year, the enterprise provided services to more than 23,000 customers from Estonia.

“Despite the overall economic instability and the decline in business volumes, we managed to improve sales numbers, overcome the loss and end the year more successfully than expected,” stated Andree Uustal, the managing director of Novatours and a member of the management board. He added that the company’s formula for success is the choice of the right destinations, solid customer relations and stable sales.

The tour operator predicts that this year it will achieve a growth of 15%.

In the context of smaller passenger numbers, Novatours focussed on ensuring high-quality tours. “We have a minimum number of 2-star hotels we offer, but the ones that we have maintained in our selection have been checked and are in a good state,” explained Uustal. He added that the enterprise has set itself the objective of not offering the lowest possible prices, but of having satisfied customers.

Novatours is the leading tour operator in Lithuania, Latvia and in Estonia, with the respective market shares of 50%, 30% and 30%. Novatours has been operating on the Estonian market since the year 2004.
