Re&Re CEO: error in blueprints or low quality construction materials – possible cause of tragedy

BC, Riga, 26.11.2013.Print version
Re&Re Chairman of the Board Ainars Paunins told the Nozare.lv portal that in reviewing the Zolitude Maxima project, it appears that the additions to the rooftop (a winter garden, for example) are not to blame for the tragedy; more likely an error in the blueprints or the construction materials used were the cause, informs LETA.

Paunins emphasized that foreign experts are already on this matter, invited by Re&Re, to conduct their own probe (parallel to the police), which includes laboratory testing of the quality of construction materials utilized.

Paunins called the possible causes of the accident "a matter of utmost importance that weighs on the company's mind day and night."

Paunins mentioned specifically that according to the information at his disposal, in looking at the total kilograms, there was no overload on the roof.
