Apartments on Vinco Mykolaicio-Putino Street are currently the most expensive in Vilnius and cost much more than on any other street in Lithuania, informs LETA/ELTA.

According to real estate ads portal domoplius.lt data, an average price of a square metre in apartments on this street is over LTL 13,000 (EUR 3,770). In order to buy an apartment on Vinco Mykolaicio-Putino one should have at least half a million of litas (EUR 145,000).

An average price of an apartment on the most expensive street in both Vilnius and Lithuania now is around LTL 726,000 (EUR 210,500). This Vilnius neighbourhood is also home to the most expensive apartment in Lithuania. An apartment of LTL 3.9 million (EUR 1.13 million) with a view to the city panorama has a separate lift. Every square metre of the designer decorated apartment would cost LTL 20,000 (EUR 5,800) to a new owner.

"For an average price of a square metre in an apartment on this street one could buy a 20 square metres flat on Stepono Batoro street in the Naujoji Vilnia neighbourhood in Vilnius. The distance between the most expensive and the cheapest street in Vilnius is only 10 kilometres," said head of domoplius.lt Evaldas Narbuntovicius.

Meanwhile, apartments on the most expensive street in Kaunas, Lithuania's second biggest city, are twice cheaper than in Vilnius.
