Norfolier Baltic faces complications

BC, Tallinn, 20.02.2013.Print version
Estonian subsidiary of Nordic developer and deliverer of plastic films and bags Norfolier Baltic faces financial difficulties, LETA/BBN reports referring to Äripäev.

As Estonian press states, the company has not paid wages to employees for about six months. A total of 70 employees work for the company.

Neither bankruptcy proceedings, nor termination of employment contracts takes place at the company, BBN reports quoting employees of the enterprise.

It is claimed that one of the largest creditors of Norfolier is transport company Itella Logistics. According to Itella Logistics's CEO Meelike Paalberg, they had negotiations with representatives of Norfolier, and the company owed money also to other partners.

Norfolier Baltic was founded in 2004 and produced polyethylene film and other plastic products, mainly plastic bags.

Norfolier is committed to minimizing the overall impact of its activities on environment by working together with employees and suppliers to achieve this goal.

Norfolier develops and delivers plastic films and bags, refuse sacks and packaging solutions. We have a wide range of standard products and tailor-made solutions.

Norfolier is one of the leading recyclers of plastic waste in the Nordic region. The company actively promotes and encourages recycling both internally and among our customers and suppliers. Recycled plastic is an important contributor to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Using recycled plastic instead of virgin plastic reduces CO2 emissions by 90 percent or 4.9 kg/ton.
