Riga's "Alfa" Mall on Brivibas Street opened a new wing yester day with 20 new stores and the eight-theater movie center "Cinamon", informed Linstow Center Management (LMC) Business Development Director Marcis Budlevskis.

The total area of the retail outlet is 7,300 square meters, and the total investment from LCM and Alfa's owner ACTA is EUR 15 million, reports LETA.

Budlevskis commented that the new wing will solidify Alfa's leader position among Riga's shopping malls.

"'We expect more customers and bigger turnover," he said.

Among the stores in the new addition are Euronics, Lattelecom, Bite, Capital City, Dino Zoo, Kolumbs, Rito, Audums +, Tele2 and Swedbank.

The "Cinamon" complex includes three restaurants – "IL Patio", "Planeta Sushi" and "Coffee Break" – and a free parking lot.

In total, Alfa has over 180 stores and service outlets.

LCM also manages the "Mols", "Galerija Centrs", "Origo" and "Dole" shopping malls in Riga and "Ülemiste" in Estonia.
