Maxima Latvija establishes new company

Last week, Maxima Latvia Ltd. established a company named Patrika with share capital of EUR 500,000, the Register of Enterprises informed LETA.

Information provided by Firmas.lv indicates that the company was founded on December 2. The head of Maxima LatvijaJelena Kondrasova, is the sole board member at Patrika.

 

Patrika's aim is to monitor activities of the online store "e-Maxima", Maxima representative Janis Beseris told LETA.

 

"The goal was to simplify the management of "e-Maxima" and to isolate this type of trade from Maxima Latvija main activities. These changes will allow us to manage the company's operations in a more efficient and precise manner," Beseris explained.

 

"e-Maxima" began operating on March 26, 2012. The said online store offers more than 11,000 food products and household goods.

 

As reported, Maxima Latvija achieved EUR 673.47 million in turnover last year, which is 5.1% more than in 2012 when the company's turnover totaled EUR 640.81 million, according to data presented by "Firmas.lv". Meanwhile, the company's profit last year fell 13%, from EUR 20.4 million in 2012 to EUR 17.74 million in 2013,

 

Maxima Latvija was founded on November 29, 2000. The company's share capital is EUR 4.91 million. Maxima Latvija belongs to Lithuania-registered Vilniaus Prekyba UAB whose parent company is Netherlands-registered Lincoln Land Erste B.V..
