EUR 325 mln direct payments paid out for 2013 in Lithuania

Print versionThose who applied for direct payment in 2013 have already received LTL 1.1 billion (EUR 325 million) which amounts to 91% of 2013 financial envelope. Last year, 151,157 applications were received, in which 2.8 million hectares of agricultural land were declared, informs LETA/ELTA.

The total amount of direct payments paid out is higher by LTL 108 million (EUR 31 million) in 2014 year-on-year.
Assistance funds were also paid for the majority of applicants who have submitted their requests according to the Lithuanian Rural Development Programme 2007-2013 (RDP) measures. They have already been paid LTL 271 million (EUR 79 million).
94% of beneficiaries received more than LTL 139 million (EUR 40 million) in RDP measure Payments to Farmers in Areas with Handicaps other than Mountain Areas. Based on RDP Agri-environmental Measure payments LTL 132 million (EUR 38 million) have already been paid.
